Thanks for your comment, though I don't quite understand it :-) I know what a daemon is, but not how to make it appear on this blog...
So now I'm giving blogger a try because it seems to accommodate my limited understanding of embed codes better than wordpress.

Go to http://dotcoe.blogspot.com/
and you'll see my very lovely daemon.

Hi Dorothy

I read this post late on Saturday and was intrigued to find out an answer for you, partly because I had no idea what my/the/a daemon is!

I passed on your query to some folk who I follow on Twitter. Here are the two responses:

u go on 'The Golden Compas" site and get ur very own daemon by answering some q bout urself. u then get some code to embed

AND

Golden Compass dæmon, and free web/blog-service incompatibility... Send her to A Small Orange... They V V good!

Hope this helps...I can't say that I'm any clearer!

Fascinating thought experiment! As is the case with so many other matters that we discuss in the edublogosphere, it is such systemic failings that prevent optimal progress, rather than the attitudes or wishes of individual teachers or managers.

Thanks for your comment Kate. Tonight's performance was just as wonderful as last night's. I have such respect and admiration for Stephen Deazley who had those kids eating out of his hand.
I'm glad your daughter enjoyed taking part. All the children did so well - they should be very proud of themselves.

We also thoroughly enjoyed the Gie It Laldie performance yesterday evening, it was exciting and vibrant and fabulous. Well done to everyone involved in it - what a fantastic achievement. My daughter sang in it and she has enjoyed the whole experience and even taught my young son some of the Techno Child song while they were learning the songs at school. A lot of people today have commented on the Councillors comment, it was ill thought out and silly of him to say that but the children all know how well they did! Hope this evenings performance is every bit as exciting and fresh - have a lovely time (I wish I could go again tonight!).

I use delicious for my bookmarks and love it. I also use Pageflakes where I've created a list of my favorite feeds to read and I can look easily and see if something new has been posted. There is also a place in pageflakes for my bookmarks, where I just put my few "must have on hand easily". Then, in my pageflakes page, I have a delicious "flake" where I can easily see everything I've bookmarked in delicious. It is working well for me. Pageflakes has way more to offer thank Netvibes. I like it much better. Hope this helps!
